Park Ranger / Interpreter - Saluda Shoals Park
The Irmo Chapin Recreation Commission has an opening for a park ranger/interpreter at Saluda Shoals Park. Duties include occasional supervision, planning, organizing, implementing and evaluating daily programs and operations of assigned park, ensuring a safe environment for park visitors and staff. Teaches environmental education to school groups and acts as guide on various nature, trail and canoe outings. Coordinates programming for school groups, special events and outdoor adventure. Performs related administrative and professional work as required. Salary Range: $33,224-$49,837. Requires a Bachelor's degree in leisure services, parks and recreation, or related field supplemented by one to two years of recreation programming experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Must possess a valid state driver’s license and a CDL license. Hours are essentially 37.5 - 40hrs per week. This role requires flexibility to work morning, late evening and weekends. Senior Services Case Manager
Irmo Chapin Recreation Commission is hiring a part-time senior services case manager at Crooked Creek Park in Chapin. This individual is responsible for maintaining accurate client information, communicating and providing assistance to older adults and their families, increasing client retention, seeking ways to improve community awareness of services provided by ICRC, ensure federal and state policies are adhered to for reports, must have good communication skills (written & verbal), good computer skills and be able to work independently. An associate degree in social work or related field; one to two years social work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Salary Range: $8.00 - $12.00 per hour. Facility Aide / Park Ranger
Must be at least 21 years old. Duties include visitor and facility safety, good public relations skills, set-up and tear-down of events/functions, following and communicating policies, park patrol, monitoring, closing and securing of facilities, providing park information, collecting fees. Good computer skills required and the ability to work independently. Location is Saluda Shoals Park. Scheduled shifts include weekends and evenings. Hourly pay range: $8.00 - $9.00. Field Supervisor – Youth Athletics
Responsibility includes getting games started in a timely fashion, filling in for officials, rules interpretation, crowd control, general safety of patrons and facilities, opening and closing of concessions, turning off lights and locking restrooms at the conclusion of games. Pay range is $8.00 - $9.00. Location is Crooked Creek Park in Chapin and Seven Oaks Park in Irmo.
