About the Foundation

The Saluda Shoals Foundation is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization which serves to support and protect Saluda Shoals Park through financial support, fostering partnerships, supporting programs and creating community awareness of the park’s exceptional outdoor recreational activities, environmental education, and cultural opportunities.

The 20-member board of directors is dedicated to the park’s development and is guided by the following covenant:
As members of the Saluda Shoals Foundation Board of Directors, we believe:

  • In Saluda Shoals Park’s mission and its future;
  • In the balance and celebration of nature and humankind;
  • In the beautiful necessity of experiencing nature in an urban environment.

Therefore, we commit to serve as stewards of Saluda Shoals Park through financial support and as advocates for the preservation and sustainability of the park’s programs and the environment.

The Saluda Shoals Foundation is currently focused on raising funds to support the construction of Nature's Theater at Saluda Shoals Park, the upcoming premier outdoor performance venue in the Midlands of South Carolina.
