Crooked Creek Art League
Join community artists for monthly meetings and ongoing workshops. The monthly meeting is held every third Monday between September and May at Crooked Creek Park at 7:00pm. Group support, fellowship and lots of fun have made this program successful for 50+ years. No special food or drinks to purchase. Meets on Tuesdays from 6:30pm - 7:30pm.
Square Dancing
Dances are western square style with line dance instruction during breaks. Instructed by Earle and Fran Merchant and hosted by the Western Squares Club of Chapin. Dances are held the first and third Saturday of each month at 7:30pm at the Chapin Alternative Academy Gymnasium. Contact Doris Rathgarber at 345-0956 for more information.
The Chapin Chirpers
If you love to laugh, sing, and enjoy life, join the Chapin Chirpers. They rehearse the first three Mondays of each month, and produce about five informal programs a year. Each Chirper tries to attend at least two of the three rehearsals and performs when available. Performances are given for various local community and church groups, retirement and nursing homes. Rehearsals are held at the Daily Life Center of the Lowman Home in White Rock. There are no membership fees. The group is directed by Joan March and accompanied by Mary Lou Haddox. Dutch Fork Choral Society
Come and enjoy the transforming power of choral music! The Dutch Fork Choral Society (DFCS) was established to share, preserve, and advance the art of choral singing. Members have the opportunity to develop thier talents by performing a varied and challenging repertoire. Under the guidance of Artistic Director Marjorie Turner, the DFCS performs two concerts each year. Rehearsals are held one evening per week from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm with the addition of a dress rehearsal prior to the concert. Membership is by audition. Chapin Arts & Crafts Association
The association meets September through May on the second and fourth Thursday from 10:00am to 12:00noon at Crooked Creek Park.
