ICRC offers a variety of festivals and special events that provide unique experiences for thousands of Midland’s residents annually. Total Eclipse Events

Summer's End Solar Run

Experience a taste of “Cool” Columbia and kick off the solar celebration with a 5K run through Saluda Shoals Park!  Cool off during the run in misting stations and finish up with the Summer’s End Celebration by enjoying local food, live music and craft beers. Proceeds benefit the Saluda Shoals Foundation. All ages welcome.

Eclipse Extravaganza
Enjoy Total Eclipse games, activities, and crafts at this fun family event. Attendees will receive Solar Eclipse glasses and a one-of-a-kind Eclipse snow cone! Local NASA Solar System Ambassador Larry Metcalf will guide participants through this amazing event using video monitors  to display the eclipse, informative talks and experiments for hands-on learning!

Total Eclipse on the River

Enjoy a quiet paddle along the refreshingly cool Lower Saluda River! Park Ranger Bryan will guide the group to a beautiful viewing area for the Total Eclipse. Participants will receive Eclipse glasses and refreshments. Bring sunscreen and water friendly shoes. Pre-registration is required. 20 spots available.  
All Ages        $30/per person    Saluda Shoals Park

Eclipse Viewing

The Palmetto Health Fields at Saluda Shoals Park offer the perfect viewing area for the Solar Eclipse on Monday! We'll have solar eclipse glasses vailable (quantities are limited, while supplies last)

Parking is $5/car   

Tube, Canoe and Kayak Rentals

Saluda Shoals Park wil also be renting tubes, canoes and kayaks for those adventurers who want to watch the eclipse from the river. Just remember to wear your glasses. Parking and rental fees apply.
