Walk or Run a Crooked 5K
Are you an experienced runner, walker, exercise enthusiast or family who enjoys getting outdoors together? Join us at Crooked Creek Park on Saturday, September 1st to kick-off the Chapin Labor Day Festival with the Run or Walk a Crooked 5K for Meals on Wheels!
Crooked Creek Park is the perfect setting for this 5K event. The course winds through rolling terrain and grassy pathways as it circles the athletic complex. The majority of the course is shaded with several small hills to challenge both runners and walkers.
When: September 1, 2012, Rain or Shine.
Registration/Check-In: 7:00 a.m.
Race starts: 8:00 a.m.
Awards: Awards will be presented following the race to the top three overall winners and the top three winners in age and gender categories.
Fees:
5K run & walk entry fees includes a commemorative event t-shirt. T-shirts are only guaranteed to those registered by August 15. T-shirts can be picked up at the registration tent on race day. Additional t-shirts may be purchased for $10.

Proceeds from Walk or Run a Crooked 5K will help provide meals and vital support to individuals who have spent their lifetime working for the good of their families and communities – our senior citizens. The ICRC Meals on Wheels program provides more than 11,000 meals annually to seniors while serving as a lifeline between them and the community around them. The Senior Program also provides services to enhance the quality of life for these adults, helping them remain active and in their own homes for as long as possible.
