
Afternoon Safari provides a safe and nurturing environment and offers a variety of opportunities for children to grow physically, socially and academically. The daily schedule includes an afternoon snack, recess, supervised homework time, social recreation and physical education. Children are grouped by grades. Activities include arts & crafts, reading, character building exercises, guest speakers and organized games. Special programming opportunities include computer lab access (where available), intergenerational programming, and lessons/classes.
Afternoon Safari is offered at Seven Oaks and Crooked Creek Parks and at Oak Pointe and Ballentine Elementary Schools.
Transportation is provided to Afternoon Safari participants from Chapin & Lake Murray Elementary to Crooked Creek Park and from Leaphart & Seven Oaks Elementary to Seven Oaks Park.

Weekly fee: $45/child
Daily fee: $12/child
Interim fee: $25/child (pick up by 3:40 pm)
*Afternoon Safari is offered on in-service days, early release days and holidays. An additional fee is charged for full-day service. Sign up is required for in-service and holidays. Lunch is available for purchase on early release, in-service days and holidays. Cost per lunch is $5.50. Pre-registration for lunch is required.
Crooked Creek Park & Seven Oaks Park Fees
Full time weekly fee: $48/child
Part time fee: $12/child
