Environmental Education Center

Built to serve local school children as a natural laboratory and exhibit area, the Environmental Center offers creative and impressive space for receptions, lectures and even birthday parties.  The Center features a 100-seat auditorium with theater seating, two classrooms that open to an outside patio, and a 3000 square foot exhibit hall.

The Environmental Center houses exhibits that interpret the five separate ecosystems represented in Saluda Shoals Parkthe river, grasslands, flood plain forest, upland forest and wetlands.  The exhibits focus on the history of the river, the wildlife that inhabits the park and trace the human history of the region dating from prehistoric times. Additional features include Nature Shapes, a hands-on childrens play space and a wildlife garden area.

As a meeting facility, the Environmental Center provides a unique, educational venue for all types of meetings and functions.  Creating a fun and memorable event for your guests at the Environmental Center is only limited by your imagination!
