A Celebration of Naturally Inspired Art

October 2-5, Saluda Shoals Park

 

Discover Saluda Shoals Park as interpreted by some of the area’s most talented artists. Local painters, sculptors, poets, dancers and actors will create and display their works along the park’s trails and in gathering spaces, offering their unique insights and talent to visitors. 

 

From October 2 thru 5, 2008, our wooded trails

will become galleries and the riverfront will be

transformed into a stage for a variety of visual

and performing artists.

 

This year, unearth will include: 

Thursday (10/2)  

Food, Art & Business Market                                   5:00 p.m.

Presented in partnership with the Irmo Chamber of Commerce, this evening celebration will feature unique businesses, delicious food and talented artists. For more information, please contact Melody Powers at the Chamber at 749-9355.

 

Friday (10/3)                 

The Palmetto Mastersingers Concert                    6:30 p.m.

Bring a picnic and join us for an evening perform-

ance with “South Carolina’s Musical Ambassadors 

"singing American classics, beach music and

favorites from the “Rat Pack”.

Saturday (10/4)   

The Sound of Music                                                   6:00 p.m.

People of all ages will enjoy singing along with local

musicians as they perform our most favorite

childhood songs. When the sun goes down, gather

around for the showing of the sing-a-long version

of The Sound of Music. Coordinated in partnership

with Nickelodeon & The Musician & Songwriters

Guild of SC.

Sunday (10/5)               

A Day of Art at Saluda Shoals Park                         1:00 p.m.

A day showcasing art demonstrations, poetry, music, dance, and outdoor sculpture. Highlights include performances by local students and the USC Dance Conservatory children’s group. The day concludes with a concert by the Lake Murray Symphony.
