Moonlight on the Murray 2018

Paddle on the clear blue water of Lake Murray while the sun sets and the moon rises! Enjoy the sounds of nature at night and the beautiful lake views illuminated by the light of the moon. These leisurely, relaxing paddles are suitable for anyone.

Sunset on the Shoals 2018

Enjoy a interpretive paddle tour on the Saluda River and learn about the unique history of the area followed by a wine tasting at the River Overlook. Take home a complimentary Saluda Shoals Park wine glass to commemorate the evening. Ages 21 & up.

Paddle and Pint 2018

Paddle the Lower Saluda River surrounded by beautiful scenery and wildlife. Enjoy the views, have fun, and meet new friends. After an hour on the water, sample delicious craft beers selected by the Vino Garage at the River Overlook. Ages 21 and up.

Private Guided Canoe and Kayak Trips

Book an exciting private guided river trip and see nature at its best. (For groups 5 or larger.) The trip last approximately three hours and includes a brief paddle instruction before launching the boats. Enjoy interpretation of the surrounding area along the way with a possible stop at Corley Island before arriving at the Lower Boat Ramp take out. Tube Rentals

Enjoy a relaxing trip down river on one of our premium river tubes. This journey is approximately two hours long and includes a shuttle back to your vehicle. Tubes are available seven days a week from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m., weather and river conditions permitting. $10/Tube; $5/daily parking fee applies. Ages 5–Adult

Summer Camps

X-Plorer Packs

Explore the many habitats at Saluda Shoals Park! Pick up an X-Plorer Pack at the Environmental Education Center! It's filled with fun seasonal nature activities. X-Plorer Packs are available for checkout on a first-come, first served basis. Drivers ID's are required to borrow packs and no registration necessary. Packs include: Field guides, magnifying glass, binoculars, and seasonal nature activities. Begin your adventure today!

Guided Nature Walks

Take a walk through Saluda Shoal's many habitats and trails guided by a park ranger.  Learn about the unique plants and animals that call the park home.  Educational content can be adjusted to any age level.

Rudy's Junior Rangers

Get your Rudy's Junior Ranger book at the Environmental Education Center and complete a total of six activities to become a Junior Ranger at Saluda Shoals Park.

  • Fee: $35.00 per 10 participants.

Scout Workshops and Programs

Saluda Shoals Park offers workshops to help Girl Scouts and Cub Scouts learn about nature and earn badges. Several different programs are offered at each age group for both Girl Scouts and Cub Scouts that discuss plants, animals, and their environments. Explore the links below for more information.
