🏈 Bridge Development League Flag Football & Tackle Football: For Everyone. For Your School. For Fun. The Bridge Development League is a partnership between Irmo Chapin Recreation Commission (ICRC) and Lexington-Richland School District Five that provides young athletes with the opportunity to learn the game, develop fundamental skills, and prepare for future competitive play in a positive, supportive environment. Players will have the opportunity to represent their zoned school team and mascot (Irmo, Chapin, or Dutch Fork) while wearing district school-colored and logoed jerseys. The league is open to all children, regardless of school or district affiliation. Fall 2026 registration is open: July 16–August 13 • Flag Football | Boys & Girls Ages 12–14 • Tackle Football | Boys Ages 11–13 The season costs $90 and scholarships are available to ensure everyone plays. ❗Please note: Online registration is NOT available for Tackle Football. Phase One of the Environmental Education Center renovations are almost complete at Saluda Shoals Park! These improvements include an expanded outdoor deck designed to enhance educational programs, gatherings, and special events, along with new ADA-accessible restrooms to improve comfort and accessibility for all visitors. These renovations were funded by the Saluda Shoals Foundation through grants from the Land and Water Conservation Fund (LWCF) and the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG). We are excited to see the progress and look forward to welcoming visitors to an improved and inclusive Center for generations to come. Board Member Spotlight: Michael Henthorne Michael has served on the Saluda Shoals Foundation Board since 2021, bringing both a deep love for the outdoors and a wealth of legal expertise to our mission. Michael is a shareholder at Saxton & Stump, where he is a member of the firm’s Labor and Employment and Business Litigation and Strategic Solutions groups. He helps employers and businesses navigate complex workplace and litigation challenges. Michael and his wife Jennifer, share a full house with their five wonderful kids and an energetic, sock-eating Goldendoodle named Bear, who loves Saluda Shoals Park. Michael is a graduate of Furman University and the University of South Carolina School of Law, and we’re proud to have him on our board.
