Girls, it's your time to get in the game! 🏈 Today is National Girls & Women in Sports Day, and we're celebrating one of the nation's fastest-growing youth sports for girls—flag football. New this spring, the Irmo Chapin Recreation Commission is offering NFL FLAG, the official flag football league of the NFL. Open to ages 9-14, this no-contact league focuses on learning football fundamentals, building confidence, and having fun. All experience levels are welcome. So this spring, girls take the field! Calling all young chefs! Give your kids a hands-on taste of the culinary world with our one-day camp. Throughout the day, campers will make a variety of dishes, explore cooking, dining, and catering skills, and learn from food industry pros. They’ll also get a peek at kitchen safety, food handling, budgeting, and hospitality etiquette. Whether they’re mixing, measuring, plating, or planning, participants will build confidence, creativity, and teamwork skills—all while having fun exploring careers that bring people together around the table.
