Travel & Excursions
The Irmo Chapin Recreation Commission Senior Travel Program offers exciting monthly day trips along with multi-day national and international adventures throughout the year. These trips provide wonderful opportunities to explore new places, connect with other seniors in the community, and build lasting friendships.
Irmo Chapin Recreation Commission trips are specifically designed for individuals ages 50 and older, but are open to anyone over age 18. Anyone under 18 years must be approved by the Recreation Commission prior to registration.
Register over the phone or at the front desk in Crooked Creek Park or Seven Oaks Park. All fees must be paid at the time of registration. Registration deadlines apply. For a complete list of travel and excursions, please view the quarterly Activity Guide.
Please Note: All credit/debit card transactions with the Irmo Chapin Recreation Commission will include a 3.5% merchant fee. Alternate payment options
without merchant fees include cash and checks.

Risk it for the Brisket: The Big M Casino & Buc-ee’s Style
Join us for a high-stakes adventure aboard the Big M Casino in Little River, SC. Enjoy the breeze of the Intracoastal Waterway while playing Blackjack, Roulette, or your favorite slots. On the way home, enjoy a pit stop at Buc-ee’s to snag some world-famous brisket, fudge, and beaver nuggets! Dutch lunch & gambling at own expense. Depart:CCP 5:45 a.m., SOP 6:30 a.m.; Return: SOP 8:00 p.m. CCP 8:45 p.m.

Autumn Leaves & Silver Trees: Sky Top and Saluda
Trade the midlands for the mountains on this relaxing fall getaway. Enjoy breathtaking views, easy apple picking, and world-famous warm cider doughnuts at Sky Top Orchard. Next, visit historic Downtown Saluda for lunch and shopping. Space is limited, register today. Depart SOP 7:00 a.m., CCP 7:45 a.m.; Reture CCP 5:15 p.m., SOP 6:00 p.m.

Senior Singles Mingle
Enjoy a fun night of ice-breaker questions, games, finger foods, live music, and a cash bar. Meet other singles and make new friends. Call Susie Elgin at 803-772-3336 to register.

Overnight and Extended Trips
If you love to get out of town, then join us for some of our overnight or extended trips. Some overnight trips are provided directly by Irmo Chapin Recreation Commission, but some are offered through tour companies like Diamond Tours and Collette Vacations.
